Decision to add 10 more Sri Lankan sites to World Heritage List Source : newsfirst The Ministry of Cultural Affairs has reached a decision to include 10 more sites in Sri Lanka in the World Heritage List. Director General of the Central Cultural Fund Prof. Gamini Ranasinghe said the proposals will be submitted to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. The list of sites to be nominated includes Buddhist meditation monasteries of ancient Sri Lanka, Mihintale, ancient irrigation systems, ancient maritime centres of Sri Lanka and the tea landscape. Matheesha Pathirana arrives in Sri Lanka Source : newswire Sri Lanka pace bowler Matheesha Pathirana returned to Sri Lanka last night after being ruled out of the ICC World Cup 2023 due to an injury.
